Record the original identification
Photograph the load cell label and record the manufacturer, model and capacity exactly as shown. Include the scale model and any available drawings or manuals. If a label is unreadable, share clear photographs of the complete assembly.
Describe the mounting arrangement
Provide installation dimensions and photos showing the mounting hardware and load introduction. Similar-looking load cells may use different dimensions or mounting arrangements, so a visual resemblance is not sufficient to confirm a replacement.
Provide electrical documentation
Share the original wiring diagram, output information and the indicator or junction box model where available. Ask for compatibility to be checked against the complete system. Installation and calibration should follow the selected equipment’s instructions.
Explain the working conditions
Describe exposure to moisture, dust, vibration or cleaning products and explain why replacement is needed. A supplier or qualified scale service provider can use this information when reviewing a suitable option.
